What is thrive at work?
thrive at work is a workforce performance platform. It measures whether people want to do their work (engagement) and whether they have anything left to give (capacity), then helps organizations act on the results.
It is run by thrive at work s.r.o., a company with offices in Prague and San Francisco. It is also a human performance research company: the platform is the research made usable.
Why two measures
Engagement answers one question: are people committed to the work? Capacity answers another: can they keep going? A team can score well on the first and still be running low on the second.
What it measures
Engagement: whether the work feels worth doing, trust in the people leading, having people at work you can rely on, and somewhere to develop plus what the job needs.
Capacity: what people have when they start the day, whether the work leaves time to recover, room to concentrate, and holding up when pressure keeps going.
How it works in five steps
- Measure. Employees answer the thrive employee survey™ about their everyday work. It runs in the browser.
- Reveal. The thrive index™ and thrive matrix™ show where each team sits: thriving, coasting, at risk or depleted.
- Explain. thrive insights™ shows likely causes and what to look at first.
- Act. thrive action plans™ give managers specific steps for their team.
- Improve and sustain. thrive academy™ gives each employee a private result and short courses. The next survey shows what changed.
Who sees what
Employees see their own results. Managers see team results when 5 or more people answered. HR sees the organization without individuals. Executives see segments. Nobody at the employer can open an individual's score.
What it is not
thrive at work is not a medical tool. It does not collect biomarker, wearable or other biometric data, and it does not give employers health information about any person. It is not a performance-management system, an HR information system, or a monitoring tool.
Who uses it
Organizations that want to understand what is holding performance back. Commercial launch was September 2026, with 3 pilot customers so far.
How it is set up
Single sign-on, and employees arrive by HRIS sync or by uploading a list. Organizations run as many surveys as they like. thrive at work recommends one thrive index™ survey a year plus pulse surveys as needed.
